Brett Quave, MD
Dr. Quave is the founder and Medical Director of Quave Clinic. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and the son of professional jazz musicians. Despite his passion for music, he decided to pursue a career in the healing arts and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1999. After a transitional internship at Kettering Medical Center in Ohio, Dr. Quave completed both his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Quave practiced at Desert Pain Care in Palm Springs, California, and was then recruited to the Pacific Northwest to build “Water’s Edge,” a large, hospital-based pain practice in Yakima, Washington.
These prior experiences reinforced to Dr. Quave that pain management must address the whole person in order to be truly successful. Realizing that a private practice environment would allow the greatest flexibility for developing a truly comprehensive pain program, he moved to Medford and ultimately founded the Quave Clinic in 2014. With dual board certification in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine, and now with almost 2 decades of experience, Dr. Quave has a comprehensive knowledge of medication management and offers a complete array of procedural treatments to help chronic pain. However, what sets him apart from other pain specialists is his relentless pursuit of lifestyle and wholistic methods of pain treatment. Dr. Quave became board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine through the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2020. He also created the ESSENTIALS Lifestyle pain treatment program which has transformed the lives of hundreds of people suffering from chronic pain. Prior to pursuing medicine as a career, Dr. Quave worked briefly as a teacher and believes that treatment is more likely to be successful when people are properly educated. This philosophy is exemplified in his interactions with his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Quave enjoys time with his wife and 4 daughters. His hobbies include playing drums and percussion, piano, recording music, disc golf, traveling, and fitness.
Dr. Quave welcomes each of you to Quave Clinic and looks forward to working together with you on a solution to your pain.
